Tuition Assistance

Oakwood is pleased to be able to offer tuition assistance to qualifying families who would otherwise not be able to attend Oakwood.

Families requesting tuition assistance must demonstrate a financial need and must demonstrate exemplary commitment to the school. Students must also be in good academic and behavioral standing. The family's personal financial information will be reviewed to determine financial need. If the family qualifies financially, the family's commitment and the student's standing will also be reviewed. All awards of tuition assistance are contingent on the family's and the student's continued support of the school. Similarly, if a family's financial condition improves, the family is expected to notify the school so tuition can be adjusted accordingly.

Instructions on how to apply and important dates are included in the application packet. If you have questions about the application process, please contact the Admissions Coordinator.

Tuition Assistance Policies

  1. Tuition assistance is awarded to families on the basis of financial need and the family's commitment to the school.
  2. The student's academic and behavioral standing are also a factor. Continued receipt of financial aid assumes the family and student are in good standing.
  3. Tuition assistance resources are limited and are given to those first qualified.
  4. Awards are limited to partial assistance.
  5. Awards are made on an annual basis and must be applied for anew each year to confirm continued eligibility, but recipients can generally expect similar assistance from year-to-year as long as the program criteria continues to be met.
  6. Families are to notify the school if their financial condition improves so an adjustment can be made to their assistance.

Application Process

  1. Tuition assistance applications are available from the Admissions Office.
  2. A complete and accurate tuition assistance application must be submitted with the new student application (or re-enrollment forms) to receive priority consideration. A complete application is one that includes all of the information requested in the application as well as all requested supporting documents. Applications will not be reviewed until they are complete.
  3. Completed applications are to be mailed in the envelope provided to:
    • FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment
    • P.O. Box 5688
    • Lincoln, NE 68505
  4. Tuition assistance applications will be reviewed to determine financial need. This analysis is based on a formula that considers a family's financial situation, as well as the number of enrolled children in the family.
  5. If a family demonstrates financial need, the application will then be reviewed to confirm the family's commitment to the school and the student's academic and behavioral standing.
  6. Applicants for returning families missing the priority re-enrollment deadline will be considered in the order they are received and to the extent tuition assistance resources are still available.
