Oakwood Capital Campaign

The Oakwood Capital Campaign is the fundraising campaign begun in 2003 to raise $1,500,000 for five specific areas of focus at the school. Donors to the Annual Gifts Program have the ability to direct their donations to benefit one (or more) of these five funds. Proceeds from the school's fundraising events also go to support these funds.

Campus Fund

The Campus Fund is designated for the enhancement and expansion of the Oakwood campus. Although there are many projects that benefit from this fund (Lockers, fountain, landscaping, playground, etc.) the primary focus at this time is to expand the campus.

Science & Technology Fund

The Science & Technology Fund is used to strengthen and expand the school's technology and science resources. This fund has been the recipient of very generous donations from IBM and its employees and retirees who are Oakwood friends and families. This, along with other donations, has enabled the school to replace its computers and open new computer labs.

Enrichment Fund

The Enrichment Fund is used to grow the library and enhance the school's other arts and enrichment programs.

Faculty Fund

The Faculty Fund is used to support faculty development and enhance faculty compensation. Increasing professional development has been one of the teachers' major requests and these funds help make that happen.

Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund is used to expand and strengthen the school community by providing merit-based scholarships to deserving students in Middle School and High School. This program has been quite successful at attracting some top students to Oakwood, enhancing the school for all. (These funds are not used for tuition assistance.)
