Oakwood Fundraising Events

In addition to the Annual Gifts Program, Oakwood also has successful fundraising events. They include:

Oakwood Fund Run

In the fall of each school year, the students participate in their annual fundraiser, the Oakwood Fund Run. This is the students’ opportunity to ask family and friends to sponsor them as participants in this event. Proceeds go to one (or more) of the five funds of the Oakwood Capital Campaign as announced each year.

Oakwood Dinner Auction

Once every two years, the school comes together to celebrate and fundraise at a bi-annual dinner auction. This is a BIG event and lots of fun. The auction committee is made up of parent volunteers and works for months planning and preparing. This is truly one of the school’s great traditions and not only produces funds for the school, but creates new friendships among volunteers and lasting memories for all who attend.

Oakwood Golf Classic Tournament & Auction

The Oakwood Golf Classic Tournament is held on the alternate year to the dinner auction. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to join the Oakwood families for a day on the fairways. The date and venue is set by the golf committee and much planning goes into making this an enjoyable event. After the golfing is done, golfers and non-golfer guests gather for a casual dinner, awards and a silent auction.

Oakwood Book Fair

The Book Fair is held every year with the primary purpose of encouraging reading and literacy in the Oakwood community. It also serves as a fundraiser for the Enrichment Fund with all proceeds going to the library.
