Ms. LaValle brings a wealth of experience to Oakwood and to her classroom. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in Spanish and Latin American Music as well as a Master's Degree in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. In her distinguished career, Ms. LaValle has had experience in a variety of classrooms and settings, including teaching in Buenos Aires for seven years. She also taught Spanish and ESL at the University of Utah. Most recently, Ms. LaValle served as an academic and career counselor at Salt Lake Community College. The combination of Ms. LaValle's background in counseling and her 15 years of teaching experience makes her well qualified to work with Oakwood students.
